Festas do Mar do Furadouro sem nomes sonantes

Numa organização da Comissão de Amigos do Furadouro, as Festas do Mar, em honra dos Senhores da Piedade, vão decorrer nos dias 9, 10, 11 e 12 de setembro. José Rodrigues Silva, líder da organização, esclarece logo que “não temos artistas de nome no programa”.

O dia maior dos festejos é o sábado à noite em que “vamos meter um conjunto grande, com camião-palco denominado “Banda Time”. Nos restantes dias, “temos mais cinco grupos musicais e fogo de artifício à beira-mar”, desvenda, acrescentando que o programa “está na gráfica” e será tornado público brevemente.

O dinheiro não abunda e os artistas mais conhecidos têm ‘cachets’ a condizer e a comissão organizadora diz que não tem possibilidades de os contratar. “Como estamos à espera de um ano difícil, tomamos a decisão que não vamos pedir a particulares, pois não queremos correr o risco moral de ir pedir uns trocos a quem o dinheiro pode fazer falta”.

“Não queremos que tirem à boca para nos dar, por isso, quem quiser e puder dar que nos aborde na rua, pois às casas não vamos pedir, só aos estabelecimentos e mesmo alguns deles também entendemos que não podem ajudar”, refere José Rodrigues Silva.

O responsável lamenta que a edilidade não ajude na contratação de qualquer artista para as Festas do Mar do Furadouro. “Pedimos ajuda mas alegaram que davam para as festas do interior, pois eram terras que ficavam no concelho e precisavam de ter artistas com nomes sonantes para chamar forasteiros, para se desenvolverem a nível local, e que o Furadouro não precisa, pois tem sempre gente por natureza”.

 

O vereador da Cultura da Câmara Municipal de Ovar, Alexandre Rosas, considera “injustas” as declarações de José Rodrigues, argumentando que “nunca as comissões de festas receberam tanto da Câmara como agora”. Segundo o autarca, “as Festas do Mar receberam 4.500 Euros, o mesmo que todas as outras, e mais: esta verba representa um aumento de 50% em relação a apoios atribuídos em anos anteriores”.

No que toca à contratação de artistas, Alexandre Rosas garante que a Câmara Municipal não se substitui às comissões de festas na contratação de artistas. “O que fazemos é a promoção ou valorização de um determinado lugar, como por exemplo, foi o caso da Marinha com o Quim Barreiros, integrando um espectáculo de um artista na programação cultural do Município”.

De resto, continua, o “Furadouro tem tido atenção da Câmara Municipal de Ovar, com a realização de vários concertos musicais na Avenida Central e um conjunto de actividades variadas durante todo o verão”.

Por fim, o titular do pelouro da cultura não vê as Festas do Mar a serem organizadas pela Câmara Municipal num futuro próximo, pois “não podemos ser nós a gerir tudo”, defendendo que deve ser a “comunidade a encontrar formas de se envolver na organização deste e de outros eventos”.
