Estarreja envia 10 toneladas de bens essenciais para a Ucrânia
Camião de “solidariedade estarrejense” parte esta quinta-feira para a Polónia
A 1.ª campanha “SOS UCRÂNIA”, de angariação de bens essenciais e alimentos, promovida pelo Município de Estarreja, com o objetivo de apoiar as vítimas da guerra na Ucrânia, que decorreu de 4 a 11 de março, reuniu 10 toneladas de bens essenciais.
Amanhã, parte do Multiusos de Estarreja para o Centro Logístico em Parzniewska, na Polónia, o primeiro camião com ajuda humanitária para os refugiados ucranianos, com bens alimentares, medicamentos, material médico e de enfermagem, produtos de higiene e têxteis. O carregamento dos donativos terá início às 14h00, momento em que Câmara Municipal de Estarreja irá reunir os vários intervenientes que colaboraram na recolha, assinalando de forma simbólica o culminar desta ação.
Esta primeira iniciativa congrega os esforços das Juntas de Freguesia do concelho, da Igreja Ortodoxa de S. Nicolau de Aveiro, de voluntários, da comunidade ucraniana residente no concelho, dos estarrejenses e de diversas entidades que não ficaram indiferentes a este conflito armado que está a ter efeitos devastadores na Ucrânia. O transporte só é possível porque conta com o auxílio da empresa “INOXANTUÔ, que espera entregar estes produtos, resultado da solidariedade dos estarrejenses, no dia 6 de abril.

A campanha “SOS UCRÂNIA”, organizada em parceria com a Rede Social e em articulação permanente com o Consulado da Ucrânia no Porto, que se encontra agora na 2.ª fase, promove três “Bolsas Solidárias”, em particular na área da habitação, do emprego e outros serviços, com o objetivo de ajudar os refugiados que fogem da guerra na Ucrânia, que já levou à maior crise migratória e humanitária na Europa desde a II Guerra Mundial.
Isabel Simões Pinto, vereadora da Ação Social e Inclusão, realça que “atravessamos a fase mais complexa desta ação humanitária: o acolhimento de refugiados.” Por isso, “apelamos a quem tenha alguma habitação vaga que a possa disponibilizar a estas famílias que tentam encontrar no nosso país o conforto de quem os acolhe em paz”, conclui.
A autarca explica que “a Câmara Municipal de Estarreja, através do Gabinete de Apoio ao Emigrante, em articulação com diversas entidades da Rede Social, está focada em promover uma integração plena destas famílias ucranianas, que já começaram a chegar a Estarreja, não só ao nível da habitação, mas também ao nível da educação, da saúde, do emprego e da inclusão social.”
